ABOUT ME

- Originally from the West Midlands (UK) town of Shrewsbury in Shropshire, I spent five years of my life in Sheffield (South Yorkshire) doing an English Lit degree, then spent a six month stint travelling in Australia, before completing a Journalism Masters (Distinction) at Brunel University. I now live in Harpenden (Herts) with my long-term girlfriend and two cats. I work for NHBC (National House-Building Council) in the Corporate Communications team, following two-years working for debt-charity CCCS (Consumer Credit Counselling Service) in a similar capacity. I have always been interested in writing from an early age, and have pursued this avenue and honed my skills in this area throughout my life. I have trodden a predominantly arts-based educational path from GCSE onwards, leading to a BA in English Literature from the University of Sheffield in 2005, and an MA (Distinction) in Journalism from Brunel University, to focus my interests further. I am a very keen sportsman, reflected by my predominant pastime; I play the up-and-coming sport of Ultimate Frisbee for Great Britain, and coach the two-time European championship winning GB U17 Women.
